Improving patient experiences by understanding infusate properties and their effects on vasculature
Marc Stranz, PharmD, has worked with the methodology and pharmacology of drug compounding for over 46 years. In 2002, he published an article summarizing the current knowledge of drug-induced vascular tissue damage; he continues to pursue updated research and information. This presentation provides a pharmacological and patient centric approach to understanding the risks and complications of infusate properties on vasculature. His presentation will discuss three interlacing factors to consider when assessing the potential for vascular drug injury; the patient, the device, and the drug.
